Bill McMahon is Senior Vice President at Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. (“CSIA”), Chief Investment Officer, and a member of the Portfolio Management Team for the ThomasPartners Strategies. As CIO, he is responsible for investment management, research, and portfolio construction Bill co-founded ThomasPartners, Inc. (“ThomasPartners”) in 2001 with Greg Thomas and served as Partner of the firm until its acquisition by The Charles Schwab Corporation in 2012 and subsequent merger with CSIA in 2018.
Bill has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, beginning his career at State Street Corporation. He spent the latter half of his time at State Street with State Street Global Advisors in its asset management division. Prior to ThomasPartners, Bill was an analyst for an advisory firm.
Bill received a B.A. in Economics from Stonehill College, an MBA from Bentley College and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation.
